About
My name is Tova, and I’m an Australian born, Brooklyn-based graphic designer. I use this site as a medium for my observations based on the above criteria. They don’t always work together to create a harmonious topic, so sometimes I just have to write things about being an Australian that have nothing to do with my job. Sometimes, however, I write things that have everything to do with my job and nothing about being Australian. Sometimes I write about music or tv or popular culture – all of which have very little to do with each. Hopefully sometime soon I’ll find a topic of interest that combines everything.
Some hypothetical questions that nobody’s actually asked, but I’ll answer anyway:
1. Why don’t you post very often?
Occasionally, I go through busy times which prevent me from posting as often as I’d like. I do try to prevent this. But in the meantime, I do post on twitter, as well as my cooking outlet, cooked twice, where I share my favorite frugal recipes which allow you to creatively use your leftovers to make entirely new meals.
2. Why dinwit? It’s spelled dimwit, dimwit.
I went through a phase where I loved the minimalism and class of the font FF DIN. I decided to combine these and came up with “dinwit”, which signifies both being crazy for a font AND being crazy about noise. The truth is that I hate noise. I still really like the font though.
